Larry has been an active member of the Oregon State Bar since 1967, and a member of the firm for over 40 years. Over these many years, he has worked almost exclusively in the defense of complex civil litigation with a focus on claims of professional negligence. For his efforts, he has achieved the highest levels of peer recognition for his professional excellence in the handling of civil litigation by his position as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and membership with the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is also recognized by Martindale-Hubble as “AV-Preeminent” and is regularly included in other similar publications, such as The Best Lawyers in America and Oregon Super Lawyers.
Larry has also served on numerous local and statewide boards associated with legal professionalism, as well as serving on the Board of Directors and as past president of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel. His local jurisdiction, Washington County, also regularly calls upon Larry as an appointed pro tem circuit court judge. For these efforts, he has received numerous local and statewide honors for his dedication to promoting legal professionalism.
He graduated from Oregon State University in 1964, and graduated summa cum laude from Willamette University College of Law in 1967. After graduation he spent nearly six years on active duty with the U.S. Army Judge Advocates Corps, and thereafter settled in Hillsboro with the current firm.
