Jonathan Powell received his Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Miami University in 1999, and earned a law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV in 2004. During law school, John volunteered for the Clark County Legal Services Program, teaching free legal education classes in the subject of family law; externed for the Honorable Judge James Mahan in Federal District Court; and was a member of the death penalty clinic. John has been practicing law in Las Vegas since passing the Nevada bar in 2004. He has experience in criminal defense, insurance defense, and the defense of complex litigation matters involving construction defect allegations, products liability, and contract disputes. John’s current practice focuses on insurance defense, general civil litigation, and business litigation.
