Jerome R. Weitzel is a trial attorney concentrating his practice in the field of commercial litigation with a focus on construction, real estate, admiralty, employment, and contract disputes. Mr. Weitzel also represents clients in professional liability matters involving architects, engineers and real estate brokers and agents. Mr. Weitzel also handles general corporate matters and provides contract review for his clients. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Weitzel practiced with the firm of Hoffman, Burke & Bozick, handling commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters and defending catastrophic injury cases.

Mr. Weitzel has experience in a wide variety of complex litigation matters, including partnership and member disputes, construction litigation, real estate brokerage fee disputes, licensing disputes and pension benefit claims. He has tried cases in both federal and state courts and has argued before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals on more than one occasion.

Mr. Weitzel attended Fordham University and Loyola University, receiving his B.A. in English with a minor in philosophy from the latter. He received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University in 1993. Mr. Weitzel is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
