Helen graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama and received her Juris Doctorate from Tulane University School of Law. During her time at Tulane, Helen was awarded the Deans Honor Scholarship and CALI Awards in Intellectual Property and Copyright & Trademark. She also served as director of the Tulane University Legal Assistance Program and was a member of the Tulane Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property.
Helen began her career in New Orleans, Louisiana where she worked for a national firm focused on toxic tort, environmental, and complex products liability litigation as well as for a firm specializing in insurance defense. After moving back to her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, Helen served as an interim clerk for the Honorable Staci G. Cornelius.
In her free time, Helen enjoys participating in fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society, fostering dogs, and spending time with family.

Representative Experience:
- Served as primary associate for national council for two clients, including directly representing clients in local matters, coordinating all local representation and promoting consistency in litigation in all jurisdictions, drafting discovery responses, and coordinating all aspects from inception until verdict or dismissal.
- Wrote and won summary judgment for a variety of clients including national agricultural product distributors, national automobile insurers, and nationwide food product distributors.
- Defended insurance clients in both UM/UIM and liability matters.
- Represented clients and their insured throughout the entire litigation process including depositions, discovery, dispositive motions, and pre-trial motions in both state and federal court.
