Mr. Brenneman graduated with distinction from the McGeorge School of Law in 2011 where he was admitted to the Traynor Honor Society. Named for three years to the Dean’s Honor List, Eric also received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in a course titled Computer Assisted Litigation. He was also a staff writer and editor for the McGeorge Law Review and published two articles pertaining to recently enacted California legislation. While pursuing his legal education, he gained practical experience in general civil litigation while working at a local law firm.

At Farmer Smith & Lane, Mr. Brenneman handles a wide variety of tort, insurance, contract and construction defect litigation in both state and federal courts. He also advises commercial carriers and Joint Powers Authorities on coverage issues and assist insurers in conducting first-party fraud investigations, including administering examinations under oath. He has represented commercial clients, policy holders and individuals in courts across California and as pro hac vice counsel in New York.

Mr. Brenneman was selected to the Super Lawyers List of Northern California Rising Stars in both 2016 and 2017.

Mr. Brenneman graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2007 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and Psychology. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, reading, photography, and traveling.
