Dave Brown is an economic development, real estate and governmental transactions lawyer.

Dave designs and prepares economic development agreements between local governments and private companies for commercial and public-private projects. He regularly works on economic incentives and real estate transactions that must conform to the North Carolina Local Development Act (N.C.G.S. §158-7.1).

Dave has led deals for downtown development and the private use of public facilities including stadium leases and the retention of professional sports franchises, amateur sports groups and art collections.

Dave also represents private investors and operators in the acquisition, financing and sale of real estate projects for hotel, office, apartment, retail, medical, industrial and resort development. He has done deals for the bulk sale of land, residential lots and office parks. He has also closed several transactions for public venues, land assemblage and timberland.
