David’s practice focuses on creditors’ rights, banking transactions, commercial litigation, and trust law issues. He regularly represents a National Banking Association and other banks in commercial loan workouts and large-scale commercial collection matters. David also has substantial experience in municipal law matters, including zoning litigation, annexation proceedings and Article 78 proceedings. Prior to joining the Firm in

David’s more recent legal projects have included:

  • Representation of secured lenders in commercial loan workouts and enforcement proceedings involving large-scale residential construction projects, a multi-million dollar loan to a large personal injury law firm, and jet aircraft financing.
  • Representation of a National Banking Association in action on multi-million dollar promissory note where ultimate issue was whether note signer who had defrauded bank in obtaining loan had apparent authority to bind his employer as the purported borrower.
  • Representation of trust beneficiaries in multiple contested Surrogate’s Court proceedings.

David has served on the boards of the Historical Society of Saratoga Springs, the Council of Community Services of Northeastern New York, Inc., and Unlimited Possibilities, Inc., a not-for-profit operator of a sheltered workshop for mentally disabled adults. He is currently Class Agent (head college fundraiser) for the Williams College Class of 1973.

Born and raised in the Chicago area, David graduated magna cum laude, with Honors in English, from Williams College in 1973, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from Duke Law School in 1979. David is admitted to practice before all Courts of the State of New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
