David Flaxman is Of Counsel to the Firm in its Banking and Financial Services Practice Group. For over 50 years he has focused his career on representing financial institutions, specializing in the negotiation and documentation of lending transactions and problem loan workouts. He is known for his work in factoring and prior to joining the Firm David was the Deputy General Counsel of Crocker National Bank in California and most recently served as General Counsel and Executive Vice President at Rosenthal & Rosenthal in New York, the largest privately owned factoring firm in the country. He has served as an expert witness in cases involving factoring issues. He is a co-author of the treatise entitled “American Factoring Law.”
David is a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. He has frequently lectured to financial institutions, trade groups, bar and State banking associations. He is a past president of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys.
