Dane Jensen, an associate with the firm, practices in the areas of general civil litigation, premises liability, and insurance defense.

Dane earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies in 2007 and a Master’s in Public Administration in 2009 from Georgia Southern University. He was also involved in the Eagles college football program and was fortunate to letter as a starting left tackle for three years, while earning his undergraduate degree.  Dane went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014.

After graduating law school, Dane practiced criminal law at Finnell, McGuinness, Nezami & Andux, P.A. While there, Dane handled several felonies at both the trial and appellate levels and assisted the partners with capital collateral death penalty appeals. Prior to joining Saalfield Shad, Dane was the senior risk manager and in-house counsel for W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor. In that capacity, Dane handled employment, labor, and workers’ compensation-related legal matters. Additionally, Dane also served the employees of W.W. Gay as their head of human resources and supervised their safety department.

Dane is a life-long resident of Jacksonville and enjoys giving back to the community as part of the West Jacksonville Rotary Club. He will serve as the President of the Rotary Club of West Jacksonville beginning in 2023, and he has also served as the President of the Florida Association of Self-Insureds since October of 2020.
