Mr. Keay has a civil litigation and mediation practice emphasizing employment law, professional liability and licensing matters, construction law, and general civil litigation.

Personal Injury - Mr. Keay has represented defendants in injury and wrongful death claims, cases of government negligence, products liability and premises hazards.

Employment Law - Mr. Keay has represented employers and employees in cases involving alleged employment discrimination, wage and hour issues, and wrongful discharge.

Professional Liability - Mr. Keay represents hospitals and physicians in general and professional liability claims, as well as licensing issues.

Mr. Keay has served as a Superior Court arbitrator and arbitrator through the American Arbitration Association in numerous civil cases and has served as a State and Federal mediator in over 600 cases. Mr. Keay has extensive general practice experience, including divorce, custody, estates, criminal defense, and administrative matters.

Background:

Born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Mr. Keay was raised in the New York City and Chicago metropolitan areas. He has resided in the Puget Sound region since 1974.

Mr. Keay is admitted to practice in the State of Washington and the United States District Court, Western District of Washington. He is a member of the U.S. District Court Mediation Panel.

Mr. Keay served as special district counsel for the Washington State Bar Association from 1988 to 2000 and served as President of the Pierce County Bar Association in 1996. He was selected as an arbitrator in the Prudential Insurance mass tort claims in 1999.
