Casey Sack

Casey focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial litigation. Prior to joining Rudolph Friedmann LLP, Casey worked for a boutique law firm where she represented clients in professional liability claims and civil litigation matters. She handled uninsured cases, underinsured cases, and Chapter 93A and 176D Consumer Protection cases in which insurance companies made unfair offers of settlement or have been deceptive in their investigation and evaluation of reasonable and fair injury claims.

While in law school, Casey worked for the Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in the Capital Habeas Unit, advocating on behalf of death sentenced prisoners in post-conviction proceedings. She also defended victims of commercial sexual exploitation and interned for a local district attorney’s office. Casey served in two positions as a research assistant, which were primarily focused on criminal law and immigration law. During her employment as a research assistant, Casey was copy editor of Criminal Law & Philosophy, a multidisciplinary, international law journal, and helped launch a curriculum to prepare non-lawyers to represent immigrants in proceedings before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Casey also worked as a law clerk in civil litigation, assisting with mediations, trial preparation, and appellate matters. Upon graduation, Casey was awarded the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono Service, acknowledging her work throughout law school on behalf of the disenfranchised. Prior to law school, Casey worked for five years as a litigation paralegal in New York City.

Experience:

• Obtained favorable outcomes in multiple litigation actions, resulting in substantial monetary payments.
• Represented an individual in a claim against his divorce mediator and successfully defeated defense motions.
• Negotiated the successful resolution of negligence claims on behalf of an individual.
• Represented a seller in a contract action for claims stemming from breach of contract and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.
• Settled malpractice and negligence claims for considerable monetary sums.
• Represented numerous clients against prior counsel for unfair and deceptive business practices in violation of Massachusetts General Law Chapter 93A.
• Represented individuals at mediations for matters arising from legal malpractice claims.
