Carter Farrell is an associate in Barton’s corporate group. His practice focuses on business transactions and financial services.

Carter earned his M.B.A. from Wake Forest University School of Business and his J.D. from Wake Forest School of Law. While in law school, Carter was a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Joel Branscom of the 25th Judicial Circuit of Virginia, a legal intern for Allegacy Federal Credit Union, and legal fellow for ALG Senior. He also authored “McGirt and Tribal Sovereignty: Putting Jurisdictional Power Back in the Hands of Native Americans,” published in the Wake Forest Journal of Law & Policy of which he was a staff member.

Prior to attending law school, Carter spent two years as an advisory support specialist at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management where he facilitated the product launch of any new investment funds added to the trading platform among other responsibilities.
