Freund, Freeze & Arnold, A Legal Professional Association, a Dayton, Ohio-based law firm, is pleased to announce that attorney, Matthew D. DiCicco, has been named one of the Dayton Business Journal’s 2012 “40 Under 40” award winners. The journal’s selection criteria included a nomination process of young professionals by business leaders and peers across the region linked to a third-party evaluation and selection committee, naming selectees based upon community involvement and future leadership potential.
In 2000, Matthew graduated with honors from U.D.’s law school. For six straight years, from 2006 through 2011, Matthew’s peers in the legal profession recognized him as a “rising star,” an award published in Ohio Law and Politics magazine. In 2006, the Dayton Business Journal named Matthew as one of the “best of the bar”.
His practice is focused on business and commercial law, civil torts, professional malpractice, and domestic relations law. Matthew utilizes over ten years of experience in the Domestic Relations and Juvenile Courts to supervise the firm’s Family Law Practice Group.
Since 2009, he has served on the board of Dayton Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters. He also served on the Executive Committee and chaired the search committee for a new CEO. Currently, Matthew is the vice chairman of the board and also serves as treasurer. He formed the first community partnership of its kind between Freund, Freeze & Arnold and Big Brothers whereby twelve of the firm’s lawyers are mentoring youth in the Dayton public school district. Matthew also serves on the boards of the Town and Country Fine Arts Center and the UD Law School Alumni Association. He frequently volunteers at UD’s law school for its mock trial competitions.
