Still in the 1930s, in the traditional neighborhood Bairro do Recife (e.n: Borough of Recife) Professor Torquato Castro, would one day become one of the most renowned jurists of his time.  Both his professional and academic proficiencies would equip him to become one of the authors of the 2002 Civil Code.

In the midst of the 1990s, after Professor Castro’s passing away, the Office went through a process of restructuring both in the operational and partnership areas, aiming to become a firm committed to excellence in all areas of the law. Having this objective, in the year 2000 the Firm merged its operations with Henrique Neuenschwander Advogados (t.n: Henrique Neuenschwander Solicitors) specializing in Employment Law.
