The firm originated with founder William F. Dukes following his retirement from the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1968. In January 1983, the Law Firm of Dukes, Dukes & Keating was formed. As the general practice of the firm grew, along with the Gulf Coast community, the firm's name was changed in 1988 to Dukes, Dukes, Keating & Faneca, P.A.
