The 2011 Primerus Plaintiff Consumer Winter Conference will be held at the beautiful Los Suenos Resort & Marina (Costa Rica), from March 2-6. Please join us for this "not to be missed" networking and educational event which will include internationally renowned speakers, David Ball and Eric Oliver.

Eric Oliver has specialized in nonverbal, verbal and implicit communication skills for over 28 years – 25 working with attorneys. Besides teaching effective communication skills to attorneys and their firms, he spends most of his time helping trial attorneys prepare and present more receiver-friendly cases for settlement presentations and in trial. He helps lawyers build a presentation plan for each case – adaptable to any venue – integrating the verbal, visual and personal parts of the case story based on decision maker needs and expectations uncovered in focus groups and voir dire. Eric is co-author of Courtroom Power: Communication Strategies for Trial Lawyers, and his latest book, Facts Can’t Speak for Themselves: Reveal the Stories That Give Facts Their Meaning, is published by NITA and is available at He is the founder of his consulting firm, MetaSystems, Ltd., and resides with his wife and partner, Tess, in Canton, MI.

David Ball, Ph.D., is a nationally known jury and trial consultant. As President of Jury Watch, Inc., he has worked on hundreds of civil and criminal cases, providing focus groups and mock trials, as well as guidance in jury selection, case analysis and presentation, courtroom communications, and damages strategies. He has taught at a number of law schools, including Duke, Wake Forest, and North Carolina, and teaches trial advocacy skills to attorneys across the country for NITA, ATLA, and other organizations.

Helpful Travel Tips:

Make sure you update your passport ASAP.

We suggest you fly into Santamaria (SJO) International Airport (San Jose, Costa Rica), which is approximately one hour and 20 minutes from Los Suenos Resort & Marina. We recommend that everyone pay the "departure tax" available through the hotel, which will ensure you avoid long lines at the airport. This must be purchased before you leave the country.
