Primerus Defense Institute (PDI)

The Primerus Defense Institute (PDI) is a major marketing initiative of the Defense Litigation Practice Group which engages Primerus defense attorneys and corporate defense representatives for the purpose of lowering business litigation costs and reducing exposure to liability. Participating corporate clients are leaders in their respective industries. Participating defense lawyers meet the high standards of excellence required of membership in the International Society of Primerus Law Firms. The PDI provides continuing legal education in the areas of liability avoidance and litigation management. Corporate defense counsel and their clients participate in an annual Convocation to explore, discuss and share best practices in reducing risk, handling claims, and defending lawsuits. The PDI is a valuable resource for corporations seeking outside counsel in distant jurisdictions. That’s because the PDI alliance is a coast-to-coast network of over 600 of America's finest independent defense lawyers with expertise in nearly every aspect of corporate defense litigation.

PDI Convocation

The Primerus Defense Institute (PDI) Convocation is an annual “not to be missed” client development event that takes place each Spring at one of the nation’s finest resorts. The goal of the annual PDI Convocation is to “bring good lawyers and good clients together.”

Association of Corporate Counsel

Primerus in-house counsel, Ruth Martin, Esq., is a member of the Associaton of Corporate Counsel. The ACC serves the professional needs of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations and other private sector organizations worldwide. The ACC represents 25,000 in-house counsel, in 75 countries who are collectively employed by over 10,000 organizations. Primerus is investigating possible synergies within our two organizations.

Electronic Newsletter - Defensively Speaking

Defensively Speaking is the monthly electronic newsletter of the Primerus Defense Institute (PDI). The purpose of Defensively Speaking is to help valued clients of PDI defense counsel stay informed of many of the recent developments in the law pertaining to the management of risk, the reduction of liability, and litigation issues which are of interest to many of them. Defensively Speaking is also intended to promote relationship-building and networking between PDI lawyers and clients who have attended or are planning to attend PDI educational events. In addition to articles on law-related topics, readers will notice PDI lawyer and law firm news, honors, awards, achievements, and significant victories and defense verdicts. Also included are announcements about PDI gatherings that will be held at various legal association events and information about upcoming PDI educational events, such as the annual PDI Convocation and PDI Fall Seminar.

Trucking Directory

To assist trucking company clients, Primerus prepared a nationwide directory of Primerus firms and attorneys that can be contacted on short notice to handle and defend trucking claims or related issues. The directory also includes contact information for adjusters and accident reconstructionists who have been recommended by Primerus defense counsel.

The name of the game in effective website marketing is optimization – the process of analyzing and updating a website so that it receives higher organic (non sponsored) key word rankings in search engines like Google and Yahoo. Expert optimization helps place a website higher in search results, building traffic volume and helping to increase the quality of a website.
