Adams leads management team that includes Brian Comer and Christian Stegmaier

COLUMBIA, S.C – Shareholders at Collins and Lacy have elected a new president of the law firm. Chris Adams assumed leadership of the statewide defense firm as of July first. Attorneys Brian Comer and Christian Stegmaier remain as members of the firm’s management committee.

Adams, who was an SEC Scholar Athlete as a member of the University of South Carolina baseball team in the early 90s, has been a part of the firm’s leadership team since 2014.

“Chris Adams is one of the smartest and hardest working lawyers I’ve ever met,” said Christian Stegmaier, the immediate past president of the firm. “His top priority is client service and we are lucky to have him set such a high bar for the businesses and organizations that trust us to provide legal services.”

Chris Adams practice is focused on construction law and defending general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, manufacturers, and subcontractors. Christian Stegmaier primarily defends businesses operating in retail and hospitality industry. Brian Comer represents medical providers, attorneys, actuaries, and other service providers facing professional negligence claims. Comer is also a certified mediator for the state of S.C.
