Lifetime achievement award recognizes Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich’s contributions to advancing the development of family law and the profession, her community service, and her dedication to family law issues through education and advocacy

Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich, partner and a co-founder of Lesnevich & Marzano-Lesnevich, LLC in Hackensack, New Jersey will receive the award at a dinner in her sole honor, presented by the Family Law section of the New Jersey State Bar, to be held April 1 at Hilton Hotel in Short Hills.

Each year an honored member of the matrimonial bar is selected by the Tischler Award Committee of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section. The Committee considers various standards in regard to a potential recipient including his or her public service in advancing the development of family law; contributions to the family law by publishing articles; participating in seminars and service on committees; promoting and advancing the goals of the legal profession, including service and contributions to the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association; membership on committees appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey or other committees, which address family law issues; participation on Early Settlement Panels and participation in other complementary dispute resolution alternatives; membership and participation in groups that advance family law and the positive image of matrimonial lawyers; and his or her active participation in family law activities on county and local bar association levels.

Madeline specializes in complicated matrimonial law, custody, grandparents’ rights, domestic violence, child support and parenting time cases. She has been named a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Attorney. As a mother of five, her compassion and personal insight into family dynamics enhances her ability to handle difficult cases for clients in turmoil. She has numerous professional publications, has lectured to lawyers and judges on family law issues, has actively participated in professional organizations, and formerly served as Chair of the NJSBA Family Law Section. She is also the past President of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and currently serves as a Vice President of the national Academy.
