Barnes Alford is pleased to announce that attorneys Weldon R. Johnson and Robert T. Strickland have been selected to the 2013 list of South Carolina “Super Lawyers”.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations.

Weldon Johnson is the firm’s senior partner, with over thirty-five years of experience. A 1966 graduate of Wofford College, Mr. Johnson received his law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1969. He was a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for several years before returning to South Carolina to practice law, joining with James W. Alford to form Alford & Johnson. In 1983, Alford, Johnson & Salane merged with Barnes, Stork, Wolff & Reyner to form Barnes, Alford, Stork & Johnson, LLP. Mr. Johnson is recognized in the Medical Malpractice category.

Mr. Strickland is a Managing Partner of Barnes, Alford, Stork & Johnson, LLP. He joined the firm in 1984 after graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was selected to serve on the South Carolina Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree in 1981 from Clemson University with honors. Mr. Strickland is recognized in the Civil Litigation Defense category.
