The family of Navy Yard shooting victim Arthur Daniels Sr. has retained nationally renowned law firms Bode & Grenier LLP and Martin & Gitner PLLC.

“My family and I are comforted to know that the law firms Martin & Gitner and Bode & Grenier will be working on our behalf to achieve justice for my husband,” said Priscilla Daniels, widow of the late Daniels Sr. “Given our attorneys’ extensive experience, we are confident that we are in good hands.”

Daniels Sr. was a deeply devoted husband, father, and employee. He and his loving wife were married for 30 years. Daniels Sr. leaves behind four children, Arthur C., Arthur L., Arthur A., and Iadora, and nine grandchildren. Arthur Sr. is preceded in death by his son Arthur V., who was also the victim of gun violence in 2009. At the September 25th funeral service for Daniels Sr., Vice Adm. William Hilarides, the commander of Naval Sea Systems Command, praised Daniels Sr. for saving his supervisor’s life by pushing him aside towards cover as shooter Aaron Alexis opened fire.

“Martin & Gitner and Bode & Grenier are honored to come together in support of a great man, the late Arthur Daniels Sr., and his family,” said Martin & Gitner managing partner Billy Martin.

“Our very deepest sympathies go out to each of the families of the victims of the senseless Navy Yard shooting and we are committed to seeking out justice in this matter,” said Bode & Grenier partner Peter Grenier.
