Smith Debnam today announced that three of the firm’s partners, Rose H. Stout, John W. Narron, and Thurston Debnam, have once again been recognized among the nation’s top lawyers in the 21st Edition of The Best Lawyers in America©. This edition marks the ninth straight year that Stout and Narron have earned a spot on the list for their work in family law, and the second year in a row Debnam has been listed for his work in corporate law.
John Narron began practicing law in 1977, and has been a partner with the Raleigh-based law firm of Smith Debnam since 1987. Narron was among the first group of lawyers in North Carolina certified as family law specialists by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Narron leads the family law section at Smith Debnam and focuses his practice in the areas of litigation, family law, arbitration, mediation, and business transactions.
Rose Stout has been a North Carolina State Bar board-certified family law specialist since 1991. She represents clients in all aspects of family law, particularly in cases that involve divorce, child custody, equitable distribution, child support, and alimony.
Thurston Debnam is one of the founding partners of Smith Debnam and served as the firm’s managing partner from 1992 through 1997. Debnam leads the business law practice section at Smith Debnam and concentrates his practice in the areas of business and corporate planning, real estate law, and real estate litigation, including land use planning and zoning.
