The Bennett Law Firm, P.A. is pleased to announce that Peter Bennett will be speaking on “Judicial Independence: The Importance of Fair and Impartial Courts” at the 2014 Nevada Limited Jurisdiction Judges Winter Seminar. The seminar, held at the Aliante Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas, Nevada, runs from January 28-31, 2014.

Attorney Bennett, along with Attorney Nicole VanderDoes, a staff attorney with the American Bar Association, will speak on Thursday, January 30th, from 8:30 - 9:30 am about the challenges facing the judicial branch, including why fair and impartial courts matter. This interactive discussion will include strategies for responding to the many challenges facing our courts, including how to communicate effectively with the public and policymakers.

“It has been an honor to be able to work with the nation’s judiciary to educate them on how to respond to inappropriate attacks on the judiciary’s role as a fair and impartial arbiter of disputes. Unfortunately, the strident political debate that continues to divide our nation has crept into our courts in ways that were never imagined,” stated Peter Bennett.

Peter Bennett, who is nationally recognized as a leader representing management in the field of labor and employment law, is a member of the International Society of Primerus Law Firms. He is very active in the American Bar Association, where he currently serves as Chair of their Standing Committee on Judicial Independence, and is a past Chair of the Association’s 24,500 member Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section.
