The event is a gathering of hundreds of healthcare professionals, business leaders, government officials, and community advocates who support, adopt and promote health information technology and health information exchanges to improve health care.
Jacob Reider, MD, Deputy National Coordinator of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, is the event’s keynote speaker. He will discuss the role of innovation and his predictions for how health IT will evolve in the future.
Hixny is a regional health information organization (RHIO) comprised of a diverse group of health care organizations including hospitals, physician practices, health plans and health care associations. It serves the Capital Region, Northern New York and the Mohawk Valley to enable interoperable health information exchange among healthcare providers and systems (http://www.hixny.org).
