Hull Barrett Attorney Named to North Augusta, SC Family Y Board of Directors

Hull Barrett, PC is pleased to announce attorney F. Michael Taylor has been selected to serve on the board of directors for the North Augusta Family Y of South Carolina. Operating in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) since 1858, The Family Y serves over 32,000 members through programs designed to build healthy spirit, mind and body, reflecting the values that guide and unite members: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Hall. “We know he will be of great value to the Family Y board and his leadership and professionalism skills will be a great asset.” Mr. Taylor will serve as a representative for the North Augusta Y which he is currently a member of. The Family Y has seven branches, two licensed childcare centers, and Camp Lakeside, an 88-acre campsite. The Family Y, in partnership with the Armed Services YMCA, also operates the BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers) facility at Ft. Gordon.

The Family Y provides a variety of programs and operates before- and after-school programs at 28 elementary schools serving 1000 children in Georgia and South Carolina. The Family Y’s association encompasses urban Augusta, Georgia as well as suburban communities to the west and extends east to North Augusta and Aiken, South Carolina. In 2010 the Family Y provided over $826,000 in scholarships for memberships and services to low-income individuals and families. At the Y, no one is turned away for inability to pay.

Mr. Taylor is licensed in Georgia and South Carolina and has been recognized by his peers as a Best Lawyers in America for personal injury litigation defense. He practices in the area of general civil litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice defense and general tort cases. He has tried cases in Federal and State Courts in Georgia and South Carolina and represents clients in cases relating to trucking litigation, medical malpractice defense, products liability, contract disputes and litigation and general insurance defense. Mr. Taylor also has represented physicians before the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners in Georgia and the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners in South Carolina.
