John F. Queenan, managing partner of Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde LLP, participated in the 18th Annual Health Care Compliance Conference held October 13, 2016, in Rochester, New York. The conference, presented by the University of Rochester and held at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, addressed issues relating to compliance programs, cybersecurity, the 340B drug program, and health care fraud.

The program’s keynote session included a panel of leaders from the U.S. Department of Justice who covered topics ranging from emerging fraud trends to the “Yates Memo” and its impact on corporate investigations, prosecutions and settlements. Panelists included Kathleen Lynch, Esq., Assistant U.S. Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice, Western District of New York; Adam Katz, Esq., Assistant U.S. Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice, Northern District of New York; and Peggy McFarland, U.S. Department of Justice, Western District of New York.

Additional sessions covered minimizing whistleblower risks, HIPAA privacy, electronic medical records, and IT security.
