Profile
Bill Hamel brought his successful real estate and litigation practice to Horack Talley in 2002. At Horack Talley, Bill has focused primarily on commercial landlord representation and on representing homeowners associations and business owners associations. Bill offers twenty years of experience in helping to protect assets and collect debts for his clients.

Bill works primarily with property management firms in the Charlotte region, which include GVA Lat Purser & Associates, Edens & Avant, Childress Klein Properties, Grubb Properties, Keystone Partners, C.B. Richard Ellis, Birdseye Realty, and Henderson Properties.

In addition to the North Carolina State courts, Bill is licensed to practice before the federal courts in the Western District of North Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Federal Circuit.

Bill was the 2001 recipient of an Award for Service from the Mecklenburg County Bar for his work with the Lawyers Referral Service Committee. He has served as a member of the Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation Advisory Council, and as an Adjunct Professor at Central Piedmont Community College. Currently he serves on the Fee Dispute Committee of the Mecklenburg County Bar. He also has served on the Boards of various non-profit corporations in the Charlotte area. Bill is actively involved in NARPM, NAIOP, ICSC and CAI.
