BIOGRAPHY

William A. Gould, Jr. has been with the firm since 1964. His practice emphasizes health care law, litigation and administrative law.

Mr. Gould attended UC’s Hastings College of the Law, where he received his J.D. in 1963. He graduated from the University of California , Berkeley in 1959 with a degree in Political Science. Mr. Gould served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1959 through 1965.

Areas of Current Emphasis

Mr. Gould has been involved in a variety of cases at the trial and appellate level before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitrators. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Superior Court in Sacramento County and as a mediator for the U.S. District Court in Sacramento.

Mr. Gould is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is also a member of American Health Lawyers Association and the California Society of Healthcare Attorneys.

Mr. Gould is licensed to practice in all California state and federal courts and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
