Urmila Boolell has read law at the University of Reading, in England and has been called to the bar at Lincoln’s Inn in 1985. She has been in private practice, ever since and while being well versed in all areas of law, she is especially reputed for her valuable advice in corporate aspects of the law. Urmila Boolell has also authored “Company Law of Mauritius”, an analytical legal publication on Mauritius corporate law. She currently heads Banymandhub Boolell Chambers, which was set up in 1996 and which became one of the first law firms to be registered as such in Mauritius.
