Thedford I. Hitaffer, Esq.
Mr. Hitaffer joined Goodman Allen & Filetti in October 2008 as a Partner in our Intellectual Property Practice Group where he brings vast experience in preparing, filing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications for mechanical and electro-mechanical arts. Mr. Hitaffer counsels clients, assists in portfolio management, investigates controversies, provides legal opinions, aids in the enforcement of patents, and negotiates and prepares transactional agreements. He also has experience with post-grant proceedings, including re-examination and reissue proceedings. Mr. Hitaffer has worked with a wide range of technologies, and has comprehensive experience working with automotive technologies, control systems, industrial tools, medical devices, and production processes and systems. He has also operated a patent research service, designed and installed electrical circuits, serviced mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, all of which contribute to his deep understanding of diverse forms of technology. He is admitted to practice in Michigan, Ohio and Virginia and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
