Stanley McDermott, Jr., Esq.
A partner of Montgomery Barnett, Stanley McDermott is engaged in commercial and residential real estate financing, estate planning and estate settlements, corporate financing, liquidation, reorganizations and foreclosures on real estate mortgages.
A member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association (Board of Governors, 1971-73), and New Orleans Bar Association, Mr. McDermott is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Louisiana and all Louisiana state courts; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Born in 1929 in New Orleans, Mr. McDermott graduated from Tulane University in 1949 and received a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1951 from Tulane University School of Law, where he was on the Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. He joined Montgomery, Barnett in 1970.
