Ricky has more than twenty years experience representing clients in a wide array of litigation matters. He has handled cases relating to corporate structure, officer and director liability, intellectual property, commercial and contract litigation, mass torts and products liability. Ricky also has considerable experience in the area of governmental law representing various state entities, officers and employees, as well as private clients, in matters including Section 1983 litigation, public contacting, administrative law and appeals and election law.
Ricky was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 20, 1958. He graduated from Mississippi State University, B.S., summa cum laude, in 1982 and received his law degree from the University of Mississippi, J.D., magna cum laude, in 1989. Ricky is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, the Hinds County Bar Association and a former member of the American Bar Association. Bar activities include past service on the ABA Litigation Section, Committee on Business Torts Litigation. In 2009, Ricky completed his second three-year term on the Mississippi Bar Standing Committee on Ethics, serving as its Chairman for the past two years.
Ricky is a certificated flight instructor, a senior first degree black belt in taekwondo and an avid sportsman. He enjoys these and other activities with his wife and two children. He and his family attend Highland Colony Baptist Church.
