Chip Brooks is primarily engaged in general maritime law and insurance coverage litigation and arbitration. He principally represents U.S. and foreign insurers and companies in the areas of cargo loss, pollution, hull and machinery, collisions, groundings, personal injury and insurance coverage issues.

Chip has litigated and overseen maritime and transportation casualties and disputes in multiple courts throughout the United States. He regularly acts as lead counsel in the investigation and recovery efforts involving major maritime casualties and warehouse fire losses.

Chip also has broad experience in product liability, transportation and commercial litigation in state and federal courts.

He received his J.D. from Tulane Law School in 1992 and his B.A. from Washington and Lee University in 1988. He is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state and federal courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits.
