Profile
Woody Efird is dedicated to residential real estate transactions, the representation of national relocation companies, and the direct representation of relocation departments of local corporations.
Mr. Efird’s clients include the employees of Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank, Freightliner Corporation, Sea Land, Maersk, Hearst Corporation and Cigna Insurance. National relocation clients include Weichert Relocation, Fidelity Residential Solutions, ReloAction, SIRVA Relocation and Stewart Title National Services.
Mr. Efird served on active duty in the Field Artillery Branch of the United States Army from 1969 to 1972, attaining the rank of captain. He concluded his services with a tour of duty in Vietnam as a legal officer.
He has served on the North Carolina Bar Association Residential Real Property Task Force (for the continuing role of the attorney in closings), and on the Council of the North Carolina Bar Association Real Property Section.
He has been a frequent speaker for North Carolina Bar Association Continuing Legal Education programs, for continuing education courses sponsored by the Association of Realtors, and for numerous individual real estate firms in the Charlotte area.
He is widely known for his teachings at sales meetings of real estate firms and his many presentations of the training course titled “Keeping a Smile on Your Attorney’s Face.”
Mr. Efird has been named by Business North Carolina Magazine among North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” for his practice in Real Estate Law. In 2008, 2009 and 2010 he was also honored by Law & Politics magazine as a “Super Lawyer.”
