Oren P. Noah received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting from the University of California at Berkeley, and became a California CPA. He later attended University of California Hastings College of the Law, where he graduated with honors.

Mr. Noah worked in general civil litigation for several years before joining Brayton Purcell as an associate attorney. Some of his areas of interest include jurisdictional issues, liability of premises owners and contractors, and liability of automotive friction manufacturers. He enjoys making presentations about asbestos litigation to retired asbestos workers and teaching advocacy skills to other attorneys.

A member of the California State Bar, Mr. Noah is also admitted to practice law before the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the Eastern, Central, Southern and Northern U.S. District Courts. He belongs to Public Justice and the Sonoma County Bar Association.

An avid cyclist, Mr. Noah was the incorporator and a founding director of the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition. He has spoken before community groups to promote bicycle use as alternative, healthy, and environmentally–friendly transportation. His other outdoor activities include backpacking and canoeing. He is also an award–winning cook and chef–instructor, a Certified Professional Food Manager and has been asked to consult on a Food Network show.

Mr. Noah is married to a physician and has two children, Harrison and Mariah. They appreciate his volunteer work as a Scoutmaster for Troop 14, for which he was recognized with the Scouter of the Year award for 2002 and the Rotary Service to Youth award in 2005. Mr. Noah is active in many Scouting activities, including community service projects, snow survival camping in igloos, backpacking and leadership training.

Mr. Noah has also been recognized for his volunteer work with high school rhetoric students as the “Patron Saint of Speech and Debate” at Analy High School in Sebastopol, California.

In addition, Mr. Noah is a PADI–certified Master Scuba Diver, with more than 100 dives in Northern California’s cold and murky, but very productive and life–filled waters. He is an active member of the North Coast Divers club and is a volunteer citizen–scientist with Reef Check California, participating in underwater transect studies of marine life (fish, invertebrates and algae) and conditions on the local rocky reefs.
