Legal Malpractice: Represented a real estate attorney sued by one of the parties to the contract for the real property sale under the State Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Obtained summary judgment. Professional negligence: Successfully defended a travel agency sued by its client in small claims court after Aloha Airlines went bankrupt and the airline travel was cancelled.
Legal Malpractice: Represented an estate planning firm that had prevailed in Federal District Court and wrote the brief that led to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals affirming the United States District Court’s order dismissing the action.
Negligence: Represented a contracting company sued by a Plaintiff who claiming lung damage from alleged exposure to the employees’ cigarette smoke. Obtained summary judgment.
Legal Malpractice: Represented lawyers for a homeowners association that had prevailed in Federal District Court after being sued by association members under a federal debt collection statute. Worked on the brief that led to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals affirming the United States District Court’s grant of summary judgment.
