Practice Areas
Ms. Goudreau concentrates in the area of business law and its attendant practice areas, and provides counsel to business clients on transactional and litigation matters effecting business organizations, operations and management. Ms. Goudreau’s transactional practice concentrates on complex business issues, and includes succession planning, shareholder disputes, the acquisition and disposition of businesses and their assets, the representation of employers in ongoing management, employment and tax issues, and the preparation and negotiation of business agreements, including various employment agreements, shareholders agreements, operating agreements and restrictive covenants. In conjunction with her business practice, Ms. Goudreau represents clients, including owners of privately-held businesses, with regard to their estate planning, charitable giving and retirement benefits. Ms. Goudreau has also represented fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested estates and trusts. Her clients include a wide variety of businesses and individuals, including privately-held businesses, professional service practices, real estate management companies, technology firms, banks and professional fiduciaries, financial planning firms and service companies, and owners of small businesses.

Ms. Goudreau also has state, federal and appellate litigation experience in the areas of business, including shareholder disputes and oppression, estates and trusts, elder law, fiduciary responsibility, employment law and employee benefits.

Ms. Goudreau is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before all state courts in Illinois, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Ms. Goudreau joined Kubasiak, Fylstra, Thorpe & Rotunno, P.C. in 1997. She became a partner in the firm in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for Childress & Zdeb, Ltd.
