Michael Milchan, Esq.

Michael Milchan’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of medical malpractice actions. This includes the representation of physicians, nurses, hospitals and health care facilities, as well as health care corporate entities. Michael, likewise, has significant experience in casualty defense matters, encompassing vehicular negligence, products liability, premises liability, construction accidents and municipal liability.

Prior to joining Lewis Johs, Michael served as a senior associate with a medical malpractice defense firm, being responsible for the management and supervision of a large volume of medical malpractice actions. Earlier, Michael was a senior associate with a midsize Manhattan law firm, handling all aspects of medical malpractice and general negligence claims. While in law school, Michael served as an intern to Nassau Surrogate Radigan, as well as the Honorable Zelda Jonas of Supreme Court, Nassau County.

Michael was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1996. He is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Southern District.

Michael Milchan received his Juris Doctor degree with cum laude honors from Touro College, Jacob Fuchsberg Law Center, in 1995. He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He was a member of the Moot Court Board and received an award for the best brief in the school’s competition. Michael was a semi-finalist in the School’s Moot Court oral argument competition.
