Melanie also advises on patents and trademark licenses, labour relations and private client work.

Education and Career
Melanie graduated from the University of Miami in 1990 after completing a major in Arts History and double minor in History and Psychology. She then attended and graduated from Liverpool University and the Cayman Islands Law School in 1994, and was admitted as an attorney in the Cayman Islands in 1995. She joined Myers & Alberga in 1996, and became a partner of Thorp Alberga in 2009 when the firm changed its name.
