BIOGRAPHY
Ms. Lewis has been an associate with Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney, LLP since September, 2002. She graduated in 1999 from the California State University, Stanislaus, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Ms. Lewis obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2002 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and graduated with great distinction. Ms. Lewis is a member of Order of the Coif.
Areas of Current Emphasis
Ms. Lewis’ practice focuses primarily on bankruptcy litigation and general business law. Ms. Lewis’ bankruptcy practice includes representation of Chapter 11 debtors, representation of Chapter 7 trustees and representation of creditors. Ms. Lewis’ business practice includes business litigation as well as providing general counsel to business entities. During her tenure with Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney, LLP, Ms. Lewis has gained experience in general civil litigation, employment law, corporate law, health care law, and bankruptcy law. Ms. Lewis has also gained extensive knowledge regarding the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”), has spoken at several seminars concerning HIPAA compliance and continues to provide counsel to clients regarding HIPAA.
