Notable Experience
Matthew was named a “Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star” in the years 2006 through 2011, a list jointly prepared by Law and Politics Magazine and Cincinnati Magazine.
His practice is focused on business and commercial law, civil torts, professional malpractice, and domestic relations law. Matthew utilizes over ten years of experience in the Domestic Relations and Juvenile Courts to supervise the firm’s Family Law Practice Group.
In addition to serving his clients’ litigation needs, Matthew counsels clients on risk prevention strategies to minimize future litigation and to protect assets. He has a diverse client base throughout Ohio and other states, representing them in federal courts, state courts, and administrative tribunals.
Matthew works closely with individuals, corporate counsel, and officers to manage complex litigation involving real property transactions, asset sales, financing, shareholder disputes, officer liability, insurance coverage, subrogation, indemnification, intellectual property and contractual disputes. He also defends claims alleging workplace injury, employment discrimination, vicarious liability and contractor/subcontractor liability.

Matthew is married with two young children and strives to maintain a work-life balance, understanding the importance of both. He is an active community partner through memberships on a number of local non-profit boards. Matthew currently serves as Vice Chair and Treasurer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Miami Valley.
His philosophy includes making access to the legal system available to the underprivileged through partnerships with the Volunteer Lawyers Project and other community organizations.
