A native of Sweden, Linda’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, taxation, healthcare, and commercial business transactions, particularly at the international level. Linda has extensive experience representing U.S. and European companies serving a wide range of industries, including biotechnology, manufacturing and furniture. Her clients range from multinational corporations with sophisticated business development programs to small companies with cross-border operations.
Linda devotes a significant portion of her time to representing foreign clients in their dealings with county representatives, the North Carolina Rural Center and the North Carolina Department of Commerce in connection with various sources of incentives and funding, including the ONE NC Fund, and the Building Reuse and Restoration Grant. She also has banking experience in the representation of borrowers in loan transactions.
As part of her practice at Wall Esleeck Babcock LLP, Linda works closely with the North Carolina Department of Commerce and various economic development programs in Sweden to promote the advancement of mutual goals between North Carolina and Sweden.
Prior to joining Wall Esleeck Babcock, Linda practiced at Blanco Tackabery Combs & Matamoros P.A. in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Earlier in her career, she worked at Vacovec Mayotte & Singer LLP in Boston, Massachusetts, where she focused her practice on international taxation and corporate law.
Linda is a member of the Swedish American Bar Association, an association of Swedish speaking attorneys in the United States. She is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association (International Section and Business Section) and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Linda is the vice-chairman of the Executive Committee of the Primerus International Transactional Service Practice Group and she chairs the Communication Committee.
Linda received her LL.M in taxation from Boston University School of Law in 2002, and earned her J.D. degree from New England School of Law Boston in 2001. Linda received her Bachelor degree from San Diego State University in 1998.
Linda is fluent in Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. She is proficient in German.
