Kirstin B. Ives, Esq.
Kirstin B. Ives is an associate at Williams Montgomery & John Ltd. and a member of the firm’s professional liability and commercial litigation practice groups. Ms. Ives focuses her practice on defending attorneys and accountants in professional liability litigation. She also has experience in a variety of commercial and employment disputes.
Ms. Ives currently represents several accounting firms and law firms in state and federal court. Her clients include large law firms and several of the largest accounting firms in Chicago, as well as accountants insured by the two largest insurers of accountants. She has represented clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery, class certification, dispositive motion practice, court appearances, trial and appeal.
Ms. Ives joined Williams Montgomery & John in 2010 after beginning her career with the Washington, D.C. office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP. While in Washington, D.C., she represented manufacturers in high-profile nationwide commercial multidistrict litigation and class action matters.
Education/Bar Admissions
Ms. Ives received a B.B.A. in accountancy, magna cum laude, in 2003 from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a member of Beta Alpha Psi accounting honor society. She received her J.D. in 2006 from the University of Chicago Law School.
Ms. Ives was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2006 and the District of Columbia bar in 2007, and also is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
