John X. Denney, Jr., Esq.
John X. Denney, Jr. primarily practices in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense. He is also an attorney for Pre-Paid Legal Services in Delaware and is a provider attorney for the Legal Access Program.
Mr. Denney handles a variety of Family Law issues, including but not limited to divorce, custody, child support, adoptions and guardianships. In addition, Mr. Denney defends clients with Criminal Law issues such as DUI, motor vehicle violations, assault and battery, and other felonies and misdemeanors.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Denney served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Delaware, First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware, and was the managing attorney for UAW Legal Services Plan in Delaware. He is also a retired Commander of the U.S. Navy Reserve.
As an active member of the Delaware community, Mr. Denney belonged to the Brandywine Council of Civic Organization from 1975 to 1995. He also served as the Council’s President in 1978 and 1979.
