Profile
John Bowers concentrates on commercial litigation and employment litigation, specifically including disputes pertaining to covenants not to compete. John’s practice also includes real estate and title insurance litigation, appellate matters, and constitutional law.
John is very active in the community and local bar. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Section of the Mecklenburg County Bar, as the co-chair for the Mecklenburg County Bar Swearing-In Ceremony for five years, and as a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Appellate Rules Committee. John is currently serving a three-year term on the vestry of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. Prior to joining the vestry, he served for several years as a youth group leader at the church.
Upon graduating from law school, John clerked for the Honorable John W. Webb, Associate Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
John Bowers was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2011 in the field of Appellate Law.
