John T. Maheras, Esq.

John Maheras represents commercial real estate and finance firms, restaurant organizations, and operators. His principal areas of practice are commercial real estate and financing.

Mr. Maheras represents developers, owners, lenders, borrowers, and large and small businesses in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions for the acquisition, disposition, leasing, construction, and development of real property. He also helps owners, contractors, construction managers, and institutional lenders with new financing arrangements and workouts of existing loans. His background includes the coordination and review of property portfolios and multi-state acquisitions.

Mr. Maheras is active in the emerging field of green leases, and in commercial property acquisitions and development for sustainable projects. He negotiates complex LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) optimized leases and contracts. 

Representative clients include: PPM/Jackson National Life Insurance Co., KIRCO Realty Services, Inland Mid-Atlantic Management Group, Bank of America, Real Estate Trust Division, BB&T, 2XHalt, Inc., Bentley’s Restaurant, Showmars, and Allied Domeceq Quick Service Restaurants (Dunkin Donuts).
