Humberto Celis Aguilar Alvarez is of counsel to CCN, where he has worked since 2008. He is the founding partner and director of Celis Aguilar Alvarez y Asociados, S.C., a firm dedicated exclusively to environmental and energy law issues. His practice covers more than 18 years, focusing on environmental and natural resources matters, serving as a governmental adviser for the drafting of legislation, and as an environmental counselor to academic and business institutions. Mr. Celis Aguilar is a specialist in creating environmental strategies for project financing and development, infrastructure, tourism and energy in Mexico. Mr. Celis is president of the Mexican Academy of Energy Law (Academia Mexicana de Derecho Energético) and is an adjunct professor of law at various universities in Mexico City including the Universidad Panamericana, the ITAM and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM).
