Heidi K. Hugo, Esq.

Heidi K. Hugo is a partner in the firm. She specializes in insurance coverage litigation and has provided coverage opinions to insurers under virtually all types of policies. 

Ms. Hugo has litigated declaratory relief, bad faith, and agents and brokers actions, as well as various other insurance contract disputes on behalf of both policyholders and insurers in all state and federal courts in California. 

Ms. Hugo also has handled a variety of non-insurance litigation, ranging from disputes between individuals to defense of major corporations. 

Representing Lloyds of London, Ms. Hugo participated in the discovery, pretrial motions and trial of the landmark environmental coverage case, Shell Oil Co. v. Accident & Casualty Ins. Co. of Winterthur, et al. She also spent two years representing CNA Insurance Companies exclusively in a broad variety of matters arising in all West Coast jurisdictions and, while at another firm, represented ACE USA in various insurance coverage cases. 

Ms. Hugo graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, cum laude, in 1982, with a major in economics. She earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, cum laude, in 1986.
