Emma Nelson–Munson joined Brayton Purcell as an associate attorney in 2010 and is active in our asbestos litigation practice at our Novato, California office.

Ms. Nelson–Munson attended the American University Washington College of Law in Washington D.C., graduating cum laude with her J.D. in 2010. While in law school she represented low–income tenants in landlord–tenant court with the DC Law Students in Court Civil Division and was the Articles Editor for The Modern American. Prior to law school, Ms. Nelson–Munson studied Spanish and French at the University of Oregon and attended the Clark Honors College. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages.

Prior to joining Brayton Purcell, Ms. Nelson–Munson clerked for Public Justice in Washington DC, researching consumer protection cases to be argued in front of the US Supreme Court. She also worked for US Senator Jeff Merkley in his Washington, DC office, focusing mainly on consumer protection law and foreign policy.

Ms. Nelson–Munson is admitted to practice in the state of California and is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California.
