Elizabeth S. Feamster is a member in the firm’s Litigation Group with extensive experience in litigation and appellate work. Elizabeth’s practice focuses on nursing home liability, malpractice defense, products liability, bad faith and insurance coverage. She has a well-earned reputation for efficiency and effectiveness. Her appellate experience includes cases heard before all courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Professional Associations and Memberships
Elizabeth is a member and on the Board of Directors of the Fayette County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Kentucky Bar Association. Her standing as an accomplished litigator is reflected by her Martindale-Hubbell, AV Rating and her membership in Kentucky Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute and the American Health Lawyer’s Association. Elizabeth has served as member and chair of the Continuing Legal Education Commission, and CLE chair of the Kentucky Bar Association 2001 Convention. She participates on several Defense Research Institute committees.
Presentations and Publications
Elizabeth has been a frequent presenter at the Kentucky Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Skills Program, District Bar Program and annual convention. She presented CLE seminars on issues related to malpractice defense, product liability litigation, coverage and bad faith litigation.
Pro Bono and Community Leadership
Elizabeth is actively committed to community service. She served on the Community Housing Resource Board and with the Volunteer Center of the Bluegrass. Elizabeth is a strong supporter of scouting, and has served as Troop Co-leader of the Bluegrass Explorers and on the Board of Directors for the Wilderness Road Girl Scout Council.
